If I was a business user and lost a BlackBerry I wouldn’t be worried since RIM’s security is unmatched. Now if I lost an iPhone or Android I’d be worried.

A lot of users nowadays like the ‘fun’ factor – even at a cost of sharing personal information (it is amazing how much marketers and social media sites know) so that’s why shares of iPhone and Android are sky rocking over RIM BlackBerry doesn’t nearly have as many apps – BlackBerry works just as well as the other two. And yes, it’s a preference to “prefer typing on a keyboard”, but isn’t that what marketing to consumers is all about? Consumer preferences? I personally prefer typing on a BlackBerry then on a touch screen. Now if BB can introduce all these cool apps without compromising its great security, I’d think it’d be awesome.

Our smart phones are one tool to keep us connected. People can and should travel with their laptops as well. Outages happen. The outrage over the RIM outage reveals 70,000,000 babies who lose their tempers if they don’t get immediate gratification. Did they forget that the Blackberry can also be used as a telephone.

Have they forgotten how to dial or use voice response? Do they not travel with a laptop? The whiners are poor planners (as in not having a backup device with them). It is hard to sympathize with them and easy to sympathize with RIM.
